Brownies In Long Ashton Learn Some Outdoor Skills

2nd Long Ashton Brownies have been working on the Have Adventures theme this term learning a range of outdoor skills. They have been learning how to make and light a fire along with how to manage fire safety at camp and making s’mores. They have also learned how to put up a tent and what essential items are needed for camp. The Brownies have also been having a go at navigation using a compass and had to navigate their way to some hidden treasure.

Also, they have been practising the blanket stitch on small bits of blanket to practise at home.

The Brownies have also doing the 30 days wild challenge by the wildlife trust. The had done a lovely walk to Ashton Court doing a nature scavenger hunt and whistle blowing grass with some lovely views.

They have had a very busy term with more to come.
