5th Nailsea Brownies enjoyed a visit to The Milk Stand in Kingston Seymour in September. The Brownies had a tour of the farm, met two calves only hours old and saw the milking sheds. They also did a treasure hunt in the orchard before choosing their milkshakes to take home. They even did an egg and spoon race with real eggs.
In November, they also visited the Avon & Somerset Mounted Police Training Centre where they took part in some training with two new horses called Mike and Mendip. For the training, they waved flags and shook instruments to get the horses used to crowds and noise. After, they went into the tack room to look at the equipment and asked lots of questions that they had prepared before half term as part of their Jobs badge. The Brownies plan to make posters about their ideal job soon too. The girls absolutely loved it and have been invited back next year!
What an amazing experience the Brownies have had this term!
