Brownies have a tree-tastic time

Brownies from 1st Long Ashton Brownies and 2nd Long Ashton Brownies and their families spent time at Long Ashton Guide HQ planting trees and giving the HQ a clean and tidy up.

Each Girlguiding unit in Long Ashton choose a tree to be planted in commemoration of Queen Elizabeth II. 1st Long Ashton Rainbows, 1st Long Ashton Brownies, 2nd Long Ashton Brownies and 2nd Long Ashton Guides (before the Guide unit closed) choose two field maples, one rowan and one common dogwood. They are all native trees and will form part of the hedgerow. The Brownies and their families planted them together.

The Brownies and their families also enjoyed planting sunflower seeds and got involved in cleaning up the HQ: helping to wash windows, clean the tops of cupboards, tables and other surfaces. It was a great team effort and the help was really appreciated.
