Carnival time for Nailsea

Nailsea Carnival on Saturday 6th July resulted in a colourful and creative carnival procession from groups and schools throughout the town.

Girlguiding Nailsea entered with a river theme. Rainbows, Brownies and Guides, parents, leaders and leaders children from across the district took part, dressing up in anything river related. 3rd Nailsea Rainbows decorated river creature pictures which were then used to create fishing rods and attached to blue fabric being the river with ducks, butterflies and dragonflies on top and fish swimming underneath. We had an array of creatures and river activities on show. The judges were very impressed with the entry, loving how homemade and creative it was, winning Girlguiding Nailsea best in their category and best overall of the entire carnival procession entries.

10th Nailsea Brownies decided they wanted to do their own entry by themselves and choose a country garden theme. Everyone looked very colourful. They came runners up in their category.
